Wizards Thatch
Wizards Thatch at Alderley Edge Cheshire dates back over 400 years and lies at the foot of The Edge, a reputed mystical sandstone outcrop which stands guard over the Cheshire Plain at Alderley Edge. It takes its name from a local legend. On the very road where this encounter is said to have taken place lies the thatched cottage - an old dwelling when this tale was first recorded in 1753.
Tariffs include a business rate and a romantic break rate. Each suite is serviced each day and is sheer luxury. They are filled with sumptuous leather furniture, antique prints and each room has its own indulgent character. They all have LCD TV's, CD Players and radios. Bathrooms are equipped with luxurious toiletries, fluffy towels etc. All have fresh flowers, a full set of crockery, cutlery, a fridge, toaster, microwave and glassware as well as tea and coffee making facilities (teas, including speciality teas, and coffees, milk are provided). Hairdryers, fans, irons and ironing boards are on hand. There is free WiFI and DVD and CD libraries. Outside there are three small individually lighted garden areas, complete with seating where you can relax with your drinks

Camelot Suite
The Camelot Suite boasts one of the largest and most comfortable four poster beds in Cheshire, a magnificent seven foot ‘Kerry Monster’, draped in red and gold tapestries. Can sleep up to 4.
Merlin Suite
The Merlin suite is quite unique with its array of Jacobean colours which not only decorate the timbered walls but the heavily beamed ceiling as well. Sleeps 2 adults.
Wizardry
The Wizardry is a totally self contained suite and is in the oldest part of the Thatch. It has a magnificent seven foot four poster bed draped in red and gold tapestries. Sleeps 2 adults.

Safety
Due to the large number of old timbers and the ancient layout of Wizards Thatch there are uneven floors, narrow stairs, low beams and low door heights. While the unusual layout of Wizards Thatch adds to the quirky experience enjoyed by guests the proprieters can assume no responsibility for their safety. Wizards Thatch has a strict NO SMOKING POLICY and no lighted candles are allowed on the premises. Guests are free to smoke in a designated area of the garden.
Children
Well behaved children, aged 6 and older, are welcome, as are non-crawling babies! Our policy, however, is to accommodate, to the best of our ability, the wishes of our guests, so, if you wish to discuss your options in more detail, please contact us.
Parking
Please let us know, at the time of booking, if you require a parking space. This will be allocated either on the premises or behind us at The Alderley Edge Methodist Church where we rent spaces.

Accessibility
Unfortunately, due to the ancient building layout, there is no wheelchair access. Access to all the bedrooms in all of the suites involves using stairs. We will happily advise on access for people with limited mobility. Please contact us.
Cancellation Policy
A credit/debit card is required to secure your reservation at Wizards Thatch at Alderley Edge. You can cancel free of charge until 12pm (midnight) 3 days before the date of arrival. If the booking is cancelled later, or in the case of a no-show, the full amount of the booking will be charged. We would make every effort to re-sell the reservation but in the event of not being able to do so we would have to take payment. Any booking of six nights or more - a two week cancellation notice is required for a full refund. If the cancellation is made within the two week period of the date of the booking no refund is given.
